Our very own clan server!!!

im trying to make a own clan server
im still reading some tutorials about it and how it is done
so il keep you up todate how it goes
so be prepared in the near future we have our very own clan server in F.E.A.R!!!!!!!!!!

and imp if you know more about clan servers in F.E.A.R. let me know i can use the help

our clan server is up and running!!!!

F.E.A.R. Darktemplars

its now a CTF but i wil change the game every week into something else like DM,TDM,control,conquer all
there are also slowmo games
if people have requests let me know
or if you feel the urge to make a map or a mod do it
a good map or game play will be apreciated and wil get you up in rank!! and the map can become one of our standert clan server maps 8)
how ever i wil show every map you make to our tactical leader
and he wil decide if its a go
but we always give it a try just for fun^^
so people have fun with the game server and enjoy

o and people i forgot to say that im working with punkbuster
to disallow cheaters ...
i hate cheaters and bug users
no one likes it when the get shot and killed with 1 bullet or that people are walking in midair
or shooting tru walls and more of crazy stuff like that
so there is no cheating on the server
and if i catch some one cheating i wil ban him from the server
if you are baned you get the change to explain your actions
here on the forum and i and my high eldars will look into the matter
lets keep it fair and most of all fun!!

I couldn't get in the server. There was some sort of error when I tried to download the map. I'll try later, hopefully it will be on a map that I won't have to download to get in.. I've been having troubles getting in games in general so it's not just your server.

yess our TDM map has 2 custom maps in it so you have to download 2 files
but if that takes to long you can go to www.fearmaps.com and download them your self
and unpack the rar files and put them here:

c:/programfiles/sierra/fearcombat/Shortcut to User directory/Custom/AdditionalContent

the files are hollywoodxxx_4 and redlight district_v3
and if you have trouble with fear
is it only in the games that use punkbuster then you must turn on your punkbuster setting in your host settings
i use punkbuster to
its a program that prevents people from cheatingand kicks them for you :twisted:
it also registers their names and info :twisted:
but if you have trouble with fear in general .....
have you updated your fear???
from 1.07 to 1.08
their is also a punkbuster upgrade but we wil go over that when al other thing failed to work

forgot to say i removed the TDM and put in the control game
for now...their are no files to be downloaded for that game
and if in not there just join the serevr
im watching the server every 5 min to see if some one on

I downloaded those files and put them where you told me to. Maybe next time you are on them I'll be able to get in them! I'm not too good at FEAR, it seems a lot faster than the games I am use to playing... I guess I'll have to practice more

i made the clan a low gravity server check it out "Low Gravity (DT)" is the name

so you setup your own server very good
do you have it with or without punkbuster?

and my main question would be is it for personal use your server or for the clan ??
because i run and maintain the clan servers

and any clan server or game should be discussed with me
in order to make it a official clan server

i Will discus this with IMP for he is 1 of the high elders and the one that moderates the F.E.A.R. games and Henkus is our tactical leader he Will decide if the game should be 1 of our clan game
you should send me the server.cfg file and if so i Will make your game 1 of our standard clan games where we Will play and train to get better ofcurse,with al the credit to the game maker

i also have other plans with IMP expertise because there is going to be a new game coming out soon where i want him to be top IMP in
so there Will be a opening in the clan for a new F.E.A.R. Moderator

i didn't know i had 2 ask for authorization for it.

and it my fault to because i dint put up the guide lines for server making in the forum yet

but did you read about what i said in my other post

lets try your server out and the game you made
