Well guys , it was released this evening and gave it a good few hours playing with a mate.
To put it simply , its really really good fun. All I would say is , dont try and compare it to l4d, its much more arcade style than l4d.
Basically you can join a server or set up your own with different maps (the game itself actually reminds me alot of counter strike) and you can select how many waves of attacks you will get. Each wave of attack consists of different mobs , ranging between your average zombies , and also some really fucked up ones!!!
At the end of each wave, you can go visit the trader. (You receive money for every kill you make, the more kills you get the more money you receive) With the trader, you can buy armour , and different weapons and stock up on ammo.
The funny sh*t starts to happen when you get to the last round ( if you survive ) because then you get the boss! , and a load of randoms too Lol
Ive just been playing on beginner , and already its pretty hard haha, so i dont think there will be any difficuilty issues.
So , hopefuly you guys get it and you can see what you think, just dont expect anything tactical , because its not , the most tactical thing you can do is weld doors shut
But if you like instant all out action then you will very much enjoy it , and as dj says , at the price its a bargain.
Ive already blabbed on a bit , but pro's and cons for me:
Pro's:
- The zed time system or whatever it is they call it (slow mo's , think fear and max payne style games) These are just awesome , because when they happen it happens for everyone , and the site of slowly unleashing your clip into a zombie at uber slow motion is epic
-Very nice graphics , reminds me of a suped up counter strike
- Lots of gore, were talking head flying off , arms , etc, but its realistic
- Can be bloody scary , which is only good!- Instant action - no waiting around for fun
- Cool music (heavy metal!!!)
-English voices (yes no more god d**n american games) - this game is set in london , youve got english police cars, english accents, saying things like bastard and shag and bollocks , its so refreshing !!!
Cons:
- Hopefuly i will be proved wrong with this , but im hoping it won't get boring too quickly because there doesn't seem to be too many maps etc
ps: I just remember you can create your own maps with map editor , so hopefuly that will mean a few people making their own maps , so that will help
