pls all read this post about the Loot rule and DKP system
to avoid any misunderstandings during the looting
Earning DKP
DKP is designed to ENCOURAGE and REWARD participation:
+5 for signing up for the raid on these forums (in person - not someone doing it for you)
+10 for turning up on time (meaning being online and available for invite to the raid)
+40 for staying the whole run
+20 for staying for most of the run IF you don't stay the whole run
There is a DKP point cap of 500DKP. You will not earn any more until you have spent some.
‘Sign-up’ DKP WILL be given if you subsequently cannot take part in the raid. PLEASE reply on the appropriate thread if you know you will not be available.
‘On time’ DKP… Raids have an invite time (usually 7.30pm UK time) and a start time (usually 8.00pm UK time). You must be available for an invite at 7.30pm and able to come and get hope etc. Being available at the later start time (8pm) will NOT get you DKP. We know people have RL issues but we have to think of those people who are on time and end up standing around waiting for others to sort themselves out as well!
Spending DKP and loot rules
Master looter will be on.
Loot will be bid on in this order:
1st age weapon
Coins for shoulders/helm
Teals
You can win only one item per run. You can bid each and every run.
You may bid up to the amount of DKP you have. If you are the highest bidder, you win the item. Your DKP will be reduced by the amount of your winning bid.
The winning bid will be put in the raid chat BEFORE the item is assigned just in case there are any issues (eg the ML making a mistake about who bid highest).
If there is a tie (more than one person bidding the same amount), a second round of bids will go ahead. You can decide to bid the same, more, less or not bid at all. If there is a clear winner, the rule above applies.
If there is still a tie, it goes to roll/pass for those people still in the bid. DKP will be reduced by the amount of the last (second) bid.
If no-one bids on an item, a second chance to bid will be given. If there are still no bids, it goes to roll/pass.
Extra Rule for 1st Age Weapons
1st age weapons can only be rolled on by the relevant class (if the class is present and no-one rolls, the above rule regarding a second round applies). If the class is not present, it is a free roll for EVERYONE.
If there is only one member of a class present, he/she will get the 1st age IF they want it. DKP will be reduced by 55 - equivalent to the DKP for one run. If they don't, it will go to roll/pass. Please note that this is quite generous - most 1st ages will go for far more DKP.
Loot rules for PUGs
We go to roll/pass.
Master looter will be on.
Loot will be rolled on in this order:
1st age weapon
Coins for shoulders/helm
Teals
You can win only one item per run.
If you win a 1st age weapon or coin you cannot roll on the next run IF it is a PUG again. This is to make loot distribution a little fairer (like DKP). If it is not a PUG, you’re back in.
A Guideline for all Members
Please note that you can bid each week. HOWEVER, please use some commonsense and be sensitive – don’t help yourself to lots of loot while others struggle – don’t roll on teals which are next to useless for your class (they’ll drop again).
Finally, please note that the chances of everyone getting all the items they want are very small.
There are two coins. 2 coins drop each run so we could kit out a raid in 12 weeks. Be patient, your turn will come.
Everyone will ideally want 2 1st age weapons. We’ve already seen rubbish drops (a captain’s spear) and we’ll get drops for classes who aren’t in the raid. At the very best it will take 24 weeks – 6 months – to kit out a raid. Add in the rubbish drops etc and we’re probably looking at a year before we all get what we want. Again, be patient, take the runs as what they are supposed to be – fun – and if you get a nice 1st age drop be pleased because you are very lucky!
