Well I am looking forward to Portal 2 but found myself playing fallout new vegas again but in hard mode. It actually makes the game far more immersive. Just having to remember to take some food and water now and then and sleep at regular intervals gives it a tad more realism. You also have to make actual decisions on weapons as all ammo has weight so you can't just hoard. Anyway, if anyone wants a free copy of Portal give me your steam id (if you're not already on my friends list) as I am pre-ordering Portal 2 in a couple of weeks and valve are offering a free copy of portal as a reward....that's if the offer is still open until march.

Hello everyone, it's time for another review!! Some time has passed yeah, mainly cuz of the DT-LOTRO issue... still it's good to be back reviewing games ;D

Since my last entry only 4 games actually got my attention and i=I played them so I can publish a review. Will try to get straight to the point. Let's get a crack-on shall we?

Dragon Age II

The first of the games released on 8-th of March, is a continuation of the ever-growing and succesful franchise know simply as... well Dragon Age really.

1. The Plot

The plot revolves around a dwarf which tells the story of a guy/girl called Hawke taking refuge from Lothering with his brother, mother and sister. While fighting a ton of darkspawn which were following them, and meeting up with a Templar and a red-haired women which goes by the name of Aveline, which will be your party member through the rest of the game, will be in the guard of Kirkwall, will eventually become Guard-Captain and will marry some bloke called Donnic, they eventually face more darkspawn, and an ogre this time. Now if you are a warrior/mage, your brother will break Lesson Rule no.1 NEVER CHARGE AN OGRE, and get killed. If you are a mage on the other hand, your sister breaks the golden rule and dies. While surrounded by even more darkspawn, Flemeth (surprise,surprise) comes to their aid in Dragon Form. In the meantime the templar gets infected by zombie-like plague, a.k.a. darkspawn taint (which the warden drinks in DA:O, only that it's not enchanted) and has to be killed. Then Flemeth escorts you to the docks where you grab a slave-looking-boat and reach Kirkwall. There you gotta struggle to make a living, make new friends and eventually reach to the title of Champion of Kirkwall then inadvertently spark a war between mages and templars... oh w8 just said the ending.. DAM! My main concerns with the plot are the romance options. Yeah I understanted that Mass Effect promoted lesbianism in the form of banging an alien species... but what have you to do if that species is all-female. Back to Dragon Age II you got 4 romance options (2 male/2 female) which get along with both sexes.. Don't want to be racist or any other thing but imo 2 girls work, 2 guys don't. Then there is another disapointing piece of the romance thing... There isn't any actual love scenes, they are even weaker than those of the original Dragon Age. They made from romance a piece of bad bad badly scripted I Love You dialogue. Nothing more. By the way did I mention that when you import your DA:O or DA:A saves you get to see some of those characters integrated into the plot? Feels good to have DA:O reminders in the game doesn't it ;D.

2. The Classes & Combat

The classes remained the same with Warrior/Rouge/Mage, albeit the fact that they reworked the talent trees and made the combat more energetic. Not the I hit in hay mode like in DA:O. Still, combat in Dragon Age series won't get better than that I think. Bad part is that you will go to many dungeon-like scenarios with the place just repeating itself only with new enemies. I mean come on BioWare work your goddam arse off like you did in DA:O. MAKE NEW AREAS, NO ONE WANTS TO FIGHT IN THE SAME AREA MULTIPLE TIMES. REPETITIVE MUCH??

3. The Graphics and Sounds

Graphic-wise it's great, but beware if you are on Windows XP, as you won't be able to play at high, ultra-high details because of an unknown and idiotic reason which implies DirectX10 and Windows 7. These guys really want to force us to buy Windows 7 now do they?. The Sounds are great, the voice acting is great, it's really impressive what they achieved.

4. The Equipment

The equipment has been simplified. Instead of buying loads of armor and weapons for your squad-mates, now you only have to worry about buying upgrades for your mates's unique armor they wear. Rather convenient I say.

5. The Conclusion

Although there aren't many flaws in the game, the lack of DA:O level of romance and the repetivness of the areas of the game, not to mention you don't travel far and wide to complete your quest, you stany in the same p**s-hole only that in different houses really let it down. Still it is a good game and I liked it, but to be fair it won't get better than an 8.0/10. It dissapoints alot but still it's a good game.

Yes it is time amici!! The next game I'm gonna review and always wanted to is (obviously) Assassin's Creed : Brotherhood.

1. What's happening in the game?

The game takes place just moments from where Assassin's Creed II left ya, with Ezio escaping Rome with the help of his uncle Mario who was worried because he "sent a single man to fight an entire army" (imagine an army of Ezio's, 300 spartans eat your heart out) When both near the Tevere (soz if I caught a bit of italian, it's Tiber) river, Ezio has to decide if he's gonna drop the Apple into the river or not, and because he cannot take the decision quickly enuff, his uncle offers to keep the Apple until he makes up his mind. Then they Leap of Faith into the river. Then they head bag to Monteriggioni where Ezio calls for a meeting with the other assassins in that night. While time passes you go to help citizens of Monteriggioni with various tasks like carrying flowers, fixing cannons and catching Mario's favorite horse. Then that night Ezio explains what happened at the end of ACII, and when Machiavelli finds out that Rodrigo Borgia is alive, he furiously leaves for Roma. Later that night a nice love cutscene takes place between Ezio and Caterina Sforza(which is 10X better than DA2 romance scenes) and in the morning they wake up to cannonball fire only to find Monteriggioni besieged by the Borgia. Ezio then helps defend the city while his uncle launches a frontal assault. Unfortunately they breach the gate, with Mario crawling for his life from Cesare Borgia, Juan Borgia(the banker), Octavian de Valois ( a french coward form the regions of Dijon mustard) and Micheletto Corella (Cesare's personal butcher). These are obviously your assassination targets later on. Also Lucrezia Borgia, Cesare's sister which he loves (don't ask...) is seen there and will play a part in the main plot lodes of times. Then Cesare headshots Mario as an "invitation from his family to ezio's one" while some other arquebusiers take aim and shoot Ezio. After some time Ezio regains conscious and helps evacuate the remaining survivors. Then he heads for Roma, wounded as he is. Later during the night he fells from his horse and is brought to Roma secretly by Machiavelli. Now Ezio has to take Roma from Borgia hands and finnaly bring Renaissance to Rome aswell. I don't have anything to criticise about the plot, it's just epic.

2. The Combat

Combat has been... well let's say an improvement like from AC1 to AC2. Now you can use the pistol while wielding a sword/mace, and have the oportunity to permanently carry heavy weapons. The combat is more bloody with killing one guard leading to an execution where he can kill as many guard as possible. The pistol executions though have to be my favorite. There's nothing like a deflect-slash legs-victim falls to the knees- BOOM! headshot. They just made the combat sooo much better. Not to mention the ability to throw a heavy weapon in someone's head and to turn a spear into a javelin just piercing the bodies with ease.

3.The Brotherhood

Yes you get to command over personal assassin's which behave much like Ezio. The B.A.M (Brotherhood Assist Move) is the way you call assassin's. Have 3 signals(max) and have too many guards around you, then push the button for 3 secs and B.A.M arrow-storm kills everyone around you dies. Something like the literal Assassin's Creed Brotherhood Trailer : "Nod at the bird and people die, Everywhere people die.." But watch it, if you have some assassin's that doesn't mean they don't die.

4. The conclusion

There are alot to say about this game but I just want to point out the fact that it's Assassin's Creed II Reloaded. It's just EPIC EPIC EPIC. Nothing more, nothing less. To say what I am talking about, buy the game and see for yourself. Oh I forgot to mention the multiplayer part is addictive, now excuse me while I go back to assassinate ppl. I'll be back next time with a review of either Shift 2 or Crysis 2, depends on who says the first game. My score for this game10/10 I RECOMMEND IT AND YOU WON'T BE DISSAPOINTED

Hello again. Had to deal with some c**p and with some lazyness on my side, but in the past 6 months alot has happened in the world of Video Gaming. Let's go quickly through it shall we?

The past 6 months saw the launch of a number of games mainly which are : The Witcher 2, Driver : San Francisco and countless others. Will do a short review of some games I played before going to the cool one: Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, which unfortunately I will review it tomorrow because I want to play it again and I have a f***ed up semestrial exam Now where was I? Oh yeah....

The Withcer 2 - On the plus side - great gfx, great story, porn content
- On the downside - combat a bit confusing
- Final mark 9.5/10

Driver San Francisco - On the plus side : Tonnes of cars, addictive campaign, lodes of side missions.
- On the downside : the plot is ludricous, McLaren F1 top speed : 320 km/h BOOOOOO !!!
- Final mark 9/10

DiRT 3 - On the plus side : Beautiful world to drive in, sweet selection of different types of races, simplistic controles.
- On the downside: lack of car variesties, long loading time screen (still haven't found a fix to that)
- Final mark 9.5/10

IF anyone has a game for me to review, just pop in a post or somthn and I will review it when time will permit me. But now let's take a look of the games which have been release but I didn't get a chance to play or the games that are yet to come:
- Stronghold 3
- Might and Magic : Heroes 6
- Batman : Arkham City ( I hope to god this works on me laptop)

- Elder Scrolls V : Skyrim (hope this works aswell)

FYI I won't review Battlefield 3. SORRY ! But it does not work on me laptop and if a game doesn't work I won't review it.

And now, the most anticipated game of the yearh : My Little Pony errr Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 3 !!! Launched a couple a days ago this game brings the Modern Warfare story arc to an end, thus making a wonderful trilogy to play.

1. The plot

The game picks up immediately after Modern Warfare 2 when "Nikolai" evacuated lh6.googleusercontent.com/-EGC-8rgPBSI/TXa7KBhvN-I/AAAAAAAABMU/_IVGAeGToUo/soap.gif and Price after they killed Shepard the traitorous basterd. Now I won't go and give spoilers about what is happening other than the whole world is at war now and Price and lh6.googleusercontent.com/-EGC-8rgPBSI/TXa7KBhvN-I/AAAAAAAABMU/_IVGAeGToUo/soap.gif goes after Makarov. Returning to the series, besides "Dove", Price, Makarov and Nikolai, include a whole cast of characters: Sgt. Wallcroft and Pvt. Griffen (now a Corporal) from Crew Expendable mission in CoD4MW, Kamarov the loyalist russian from CoD4MW, BasePlate a.k.a Cpt. MacMillan a.k.a "Oi ! Suzy!" from CoD4MW, a few seconds of Imran Zakhaev from CoD4MW, the nuclear explosion in CoD4MW, and the humorous civilian massacre which you would have taken part or not.. in CoD6MW2. In short we see alot of characters. New characters include Delta Force operatives from the USA, the russian president's security and so on. And because it's a full global world war you are gonna see alot of death. And I don't mean the russians, africans, hyenas or such deaths. I mean your allies deaths, one which in particular affected me. Play the game to find out and see which death affected me and made me wanna kill Kamarov Makarov more than ever.

2. OK Campaign finished, what now?PLAY SPEC OPS!!!

Yep the missions you had in Modern Warfare 2 named Spec Ops are back. Meaner, badder and fewer than ever!!! Mainly because you know have a mode called Survival Mode which works somewhat like Call of Duty World at War Zombies. Basically lodes of units, not zombies, swarm at you. The game is impossible to beat as they will spawn more and more juggernauts which are a real pain in thearse (bad idea as they have the Kick Me written on their arse plate armor thingy)... you get the idea.

3. The Multiplayer

The multiplayer has had an overhaul since Modern Warfare 2. Now with more weapons, new perks, no CoD currency to buy attachments and other sh** like that and a new system called Pointstreak, which increases by killing ppl, capturing the flag and such, and by adding the Gun Game, One In the Chamber and such as an official game mode, the multiplayer is back stronger than ever. What intrigues me the most is the Pointstreak rewards, and by that I mean that you have different types of packages for your pointstreaks: The Assault Package focuses on doing tons of damage on your enemies. Contains everything from the standard UAV and Care Package to the AC-130 , Juggernaut Armor and the Chopper Gunner V-22 Osprey Gunner. The Support Package contains stuff which will more or less help your teammates or annoy the c**p of the other team. Be it Counter-UAV, ballistic vests for your mates or the EMP, if you want to annoy the others then go Support. The final one is the Specialist Package which doesn't have anything useful than for yourself. The more points you have, the more perks you have until you have all perks. How cool is that???

4. The problems

One problem is the shortness of the campaign. It took me just 6 hrs to finish it. Which is in my opinion too short. Now I don't say that the campaign ain't good, it is in fact one of the most action-intense campaigns I ever played, but it just feels too short. Not that this is a big problem as you have the Spec Ops and Multiplayer to waste your precious hours till 21.12.2012 comes and we all die by a meteor or aliens time. Another thing is that during one mission at one certain point I get an error which is more or less annoying. It only happens at that mission and until I found a fix i couldn't go further. Luckily the fix implied me going into the building at the right of me right when I loaded from the last checkpoint rather than going down the road. And did I mention that Sledgehammer Games were aiming for a bug-free release. Well guess what, I found a bug which is very hard to spot.

5. The Verdict
All in all the game is great, a nice way to end the Modern Warfare chapter. The storyline is great, the sounds are great, the graphics are great, you feel right in the middle of a bloody war playing this game and the Multiplayer and Spec Ops add to this games short campaign. I would love to give this game a 10, really I would, but I can't turn a blind eye to the shortness of the campaign, the stupid error and the usual bug or two. It gets a 9.5/10. I recommend this game to whomever wants to buy it as it lives to it's expectations. It's well crafted, better optimized than Battlefield 3 and, in my honest and personal opinion one of the best games yet.
