Just in a foul mood and want everybody to know about it. Digital Rights Management is the word my friends. I hate it. Sure it would be nice if ppl stopped downloading illegal games, music etc. but when they take it one step to far it goes out the window. Im sure most, if not all, have heard of Assassins Creed from Ubisoft? Well i got it, both the first and the second. I play through the first and loved it. I take up AC2 and look att the front, it says; "A permanent internet connection is required to play the game". Simply put, i have to install the game, become a member at Ubisoft, enter the game and play it... Well, we all know how good my conn is. I cant get past the frigging login screen because i dont have any conntact to the AC2 master server. Best thing is: THIS IS A SINGLE PLAYER GAME. Of course, there is a bright side to all, i can install it on how many comps i want and continue my campain on any of them. The game saves on both the comp and the server. But if i lose conn to the game it will frezze, i can either "Save the last checkpoint and return to windows" or "wait till i get my connection back". Funnily they want to make less ppl download a pirate copy by doing this. I think it had the opposite effect. About 400 Sek and and five hours of my life, installing and trying to enter the game, wasted. Better slit my throat for my blood is boiling and the pressure is high...

I feel the same, but they indeed managed to stop piracy for long enough. ACII took about 3 months to be cracked, and many, many people bought it because they had no other option (that including me)
Good game, bad storyline (imo), horrible DRM.

Ill probably buy the last game of the series when its out, but ill probably also hate Ubi so much that i wont buy another game from them afterwards.
