Ok here we go!
im going to build my comp from scratch , and i know exactly what i want
im going to make sure that the comp has possibilities for upgrades and modding in the future
Lets start with the CASE
for the case im going for the new HAF x!
here in stead of a picture of the case a promo video
as for the mother board im going for a socket 1366
and the MB will be
Asus P6TD DELUXE,s1366here again a video of the p6t deluxe its almost the same only the p6td is a little bit better but they look the same
Then for the processor im going for the i7 920 i was thinking the i7950 but the difference is not that big the i7 920 is 2.66GHz,2400Mhz and the i7 950 is 3.06GHz
thats nothing and with what im going to do with my comp i can overclock the i7 920 to 4,1 Ghz easy (some got it even higher) but i read somewhere thet about 3,8 is a nice stable and not harm full overclock for that processor
here stupid vid of a guy overclocking his i7 920 (sry i cant upload and post pictures with this comp so il add videos every time
)
Then for the cpu cooler !
i was thinking to go for the spinQ as i rly like the look of it
but i need More power so im going for either the
Zalman CNPS 10X Extreme or
Corsair H50 CPU Cooler tbh i gave the cpu cooler the most thought i wanted to go water cooling but i dont wanna risk having any leaks and damaging my comp
so the air cooler of zalman is perfect tbh and very good
also it has a great look to it and the option to adjust the fan speed on it with a remote! and the fan has blue led in it
But after reading a couple threads at overclock forum and modding forum im rly liking the hydro h50
its a liquid cooler that's a already complete set and u dont have to do any maintenance on it like refreshing liquid or water and such and there is no chance of leaks
here a video how it looks like and how easy it is to install it
i might think it looks kinda cheap and how on earth can it compete with any other high end water coolers , wel it can t tbh a real water cooler is better ofc BUT it does beat the high end air coolers on the market and the stats i read are amazing of this thing
here a little review about it
www.legitreviews.com/article/1025/1/all i can say google hydro h50 and read up about it
and when u do get one JOIN THE CLUB!
www.overclock.net/water-cooling/612436-official-corsair-h50-hydro-series-owners.htmlas for the power supply im going for a
Cooler Master Silent Pro M 1000W as for the memory im going for
4gb ddr3sry no video or picture of that
i might place a memory cooler on that one
like the
Corsair Dominator AirFlow Fan here a vid of it
or the
Kingston HyperX Cooling Fanhere a vid of that
as for a harddrive im going to use my old one i have hopefully get my sh*t back thats on it
and video card will be the
geforce8800 GT hopefully it still works
so what u guys think of the build im planning ?
any tips or suggestions are more then welcome
like my question for u guys is about the cpu cooler has anyone heard about the hyrdo h50 and so yess how good is it in action
also with the HAF x case i rather not remove the back fan to install the hyrdo h50 but on the top of the case u have a 120 mm fan and a second optional 120mm fan beside it if u like
i was thinking of placing the hydro h50 there
i know for a faqt if u remove the back fan for the hydro h50 the temperature in the case will increase a little bit but not even noticeable if u have a good case with nice air flow but i was just wondering if it was possible to place it on top of the case , i think it is tbh because it needs a spot where a 120 fan can be mounted
there is btw also a other cool set like the hydro that looks a bit nicer like led's in the fan and comes also as a double fan option !
also has any of u ever overclocked a i7 920 ?
or can u tell me about the motherboard im getting is a any good whats your opinion about it
wel thats it for now sry for the long thread !
love to hear some of your ideas about building a comp and what kind of stuff u would use in it
