Aion: CBT #6 - Review

Well, the beta has been and gone and I have to say i'm impressed with what I saw However, as a personal choice I decided not to level my characters too high so I can enjoy the content just as much at launch, so I can't let you all know how the PvEvP is within the Abyss I'm sure a few did so maybe someone will post, if not there are plenty of videos on YouTube you can look up from the Korean/Chinese version of the game

This thread is open to all that played it to leave their views/opinions, experiences, and pictures

My other half and I, managed to participate in a few of the events that went on, including Balaur attacks on Altguard Fortress which forced many of the players there to band together and work as a team with each other to defeat the enemy. There were GM's fighting alongside us and most who participated were richly rewarded with lots of Kinah (gold) for their efforts.

Leading up to the event, survey windows would appear in the bottom right corner of the screen. Some were to guide us to the events, others were to get our opinions on certain aspects of the game - all of them rewarded you with things like power shards, dyes and other bits and bobs for every one you answered. I found them to be a nice unobtrusive touch to the game.

My other half managed to get his Cleric up to about level 19which enabled us to experience group quests and found that most of the time they were easy to form (or as easy as pugs can be) and with the right planning you could get a nice mix of classes formed up. Another bonus is the ability to link what quest you're doing, into the LFG chat channel which made life slightly easier.

We didn't manage to enter the abyss for the same reason as Aelendira, but did however get to Morheim Fortress, the area after Altguard which was much bigger and more impressive than it's predecessor.

It's a shame the Closed Beta toons will be deleted, but we get it all to do again in the upcoming Open Beta, where maybe some more Dark Templars can join in.

I mostly played with the crafting system this time round but I will post of my screenies from both CBT5 and CBT6 when I get chance, have been very busy recently.

And I'm sure Becca will be posting soonish with her Asmodian.... scum... I mean nice pictures
