After our fun last night with 16th Hall, I have been investigating and speaking to some people I know that have completed it since bk7 and strangely enough pretty much all of them said the same sort of setup. Essential:1 Hunter - Strength/DPS Traited you need all the aggro on the boss to kite the hell out of him (Clockwise) 1 Minstrel - Concentrate your small single target heals (No Group ones) on the Hunter/Kiter 1 Captain - Group heal to grab the bug aggro and kite (Counter-Clockwise) Randoms:Guardian(s) - Run OP with 2H concentrate on fungus if no hunter available Burglar(s) - You have two roles killing fungus if no hunter available and dust mobs Lore-Master - Debuffs, and oil for slowing down bugs additionally heal all wounds/diseases on sight Champion - Clobber boss, Hamstring Boss and additional DPS Runekeeper - DPS Boss/Backup Healer Classes not mentioned can only provide DPS and have no specific role The fight will be a long one with the setup above but should work everytime, they say

Hmmmm, sounds like that could work considering what happened last night lol; having a Hunter kite at range using Barbed Arrow etc to slow him should be sufficent, as well as the Champs skills assisting, and if someone else keeps the bug mobs busy it should go a little smoother. And if there's any indication that the boss has before he does that knockback then the Champ can try to interrupt it before he gets it off, so then we don't get people flying around in mid-air already dead ;P
If i'm feeling any better by tonight and people want to try again then i'll gladly come and help out ^_^

wel after thats whole room aggro'd and we cleared that out , btw trick to that is to aggro the mobs and run back to the beginning and by doing so 4-5 will go in exploit and the rest that does make it up u just fight and take out very easy btw but ok we made it to the last boss and we killed it ! way to do it was how kris and me always did it in the first place no tank needed for this fight hunter goes on mushroom duty and takes them out as soon as 1 pops up captain goes healing traited BUT do not trait subtle command so u will get more aggro as u heal your fellow team m8's u run in and let a champ tank/kite him and let the captain heal as soon as possible as u get in there , minstrel waits a bit with healing so that the captain can build up his healing aggro by then all the little groborg will be chasing the captain around and the minstrel is free to heal his team its very easy trick to it though is that the mushroom that spawn are taken out in time so no slowdown occurs and that the minstrel does a song of sooting from time to time to keep him down on the aggro list before u know it he will be down sadly to say we did not get the coin that night although we all cleared the Q Do no harm i think in our previous attempts at the boss some one must have taken out a groborg so HM failed , u would think it wil remove the Q dono harm from your Q list .... i made a ticket that night to maybe get a GM to give us the coin saying the instance is bugged but he told me to make a bug report and apologized for any inconvenience 2,5 hours down the drain but i think its no total loss as we learned a lot and we did get the tactic down its the same tactic we always did before we knew about the door trick...just have to be done correctly also i like to point out there only way to fail HM is if u kill one of those grodborgs as there is no timer on the instance and u can reset him as much as u like

As long as he is kited and the cap keeps aggro on the bugs, all should be well. Hunt is best on mushrooms I think, and champ/tank kiting (I'd use a 2nd hunt for dps if there was one). We used to do this successfully (and pretty easily) using the kite/hunt mushroom/cap heal tactic and did it again last night, so good news:)
The key to this is the first 20 seconds. It's a totally manic fight, but as long as everyone knows what they're doing and we get through those first seconds it should go OK. Like all HMs, it just takes a bit of practice to get him on farm.
Also read a suggestion that a tank can take the Lost One into a corner and tank him. One to try at some point i think.

I agree about the 2nd hunter. Of course we had that to start off with, but our aggro tactics were only sorted until the 5th attempt so we never really got to see its effectiveness. Secondly, assuming we did kill one of the bugs at some point, its worth going through each player one by one to ensure each and every person has all AOE skills removed from thier quickslots and has no reflection damage items. However, on one of the earlier links I posted in this thread it does mention that on some occassions, you only need to kill ONE of the buggers to fail HM, so our failure might have simply involved a solitary stray single-target attack. And finally... following on from the wonderfully comprehensive ticket response from our Turbine GM, I noticed there are some changes to 16th Hall coming up in the latest book update due in the next week or so. Complete details on EXACTLY what changes are being made to 16th Hall, and more specifically the Lost One himself, can be found here: lorebook.lotro.com/wiki/Release_Notes_Volume_2_Book_8_Bullroarer_Official#16th_Hall ......
