I was just wondering if anyone still playes this piece of sh*t game?
And yess i said sh*t as i am so disappointed in this piece of donkey turd u cant even imagine
first of all i was so excited that this game was coming out and i coundt w8 to play it
my first view when i got the game was wow this looks d**n good the character selection screen rocked ! and the whole atmosphere was so out standing i was really digging it but then it came .... there is like no real OOC so no communication with your surrounding players....only if your in a guild then u have some people to interact with or maybe when u join a fellowship other from that its one big Emo trip ....my stay there was lonely very lonely
then next thing came it was buggy maybe they solved it now but d**n did that game have bugs i can remember i was swimming vertically reaching for the sky , come on warhammer for such a long wait and a game that must life up to its standards u bring out this buggy piece of diaria
then!! i was doing Q and all of a sudden the Q where gone ...yess gone i know i could have maybe found some but as i heard from a couple friends that where over lvl 25 they dint have any sh*t to do so he ended up doing public boring group Q or RVR the whole time ....so u must really like playing RVR or els u are doomed .....
but then RVR u have a f**k**g waiting list u get qued for about a f**k**g hour so as soon as u get on setup that RVR Que because it can take a f**k**g long time before u can join in that time what do u do ....hmm maybe a public Q o whats this RVR message u can join now but wait im in a Public Q i cant leave now so u say ask me again in 5-10min message again RVR is up join now and then u have to maybe cancel because u still doing the public Q with your group soooooo u have to set the que again for the RVR ...joy o joy
but ive seen some videos and i got the urge to try it out again maybe give it a other chance damnit i payed like 50 euros for this piece of crack hookers vomit but i dont know so im asking u guys
do any of u still playes this and what is your experience of the game

I am! The game is not bad at all, lots better then realease. Scenarios ques are alot faster, the quests are not as much fun as in lotro as most of them are grind and collect types but still fun. Alot of good systems such as the rvr, guilds, trophy's etc. I havent found any bugs yet, although im still low level at lvl 10. Im really enjoying it and makes a nice change from lotro. I love the way at such a low lvl even at lvl 1 you can jump into PVP (scenarios or RvR whatever u wana call it lol). This makes the game alot more fun to level and enjoy. I think the guild system is also very good allowing you to have ur own keep if you can capture one (us mighty templars could ofc) and guild halls to meet before going into a instance or raid or just having a party!! I like this game purely because its take on pvp and its new stuff we havent seen before such as trophys, keeps, battlefields. I play on the Karak-norn Server! And am currently Destruction! Regards Craig (Titan/Inde)

I still play warhammer and it has vastly improved since release.
You need to bare in mind when you play the game that is a mostly rvr focussed game (and I don't mean just scenarios - the ones where you queue). They've added a lot more features to lure normal pve'ers into the rvr lakes to get properly stuck in. They've consolidated servers so that the ones you do end up going on are more populated and there's a lot more action. To really experience that action you need to get into tier 2 which is from rank 11+, where you can join in keep sieging and really get a feel for skirmish and warfare.
It is a lot less buggy now than at release and the servers are constantly being maintained and improved to deal with the stress of city sieges now that a lot of people are in Tier 4 and experiencing that content.
They've added new classes, for free and are brining out their first live expansion in June again, for free.
Warhammer isn't everyone's cup of tea. If you're looking for pve grind, gold making and instance farming then I wouldn't suggest war, however if you want great realm v realm battles and the rewards it brings, along with a game that lets face it - is still in it's first year of release, expanding by the week and promising so much more then give it a go. Some people just can't get to grips with something wholly different to their normal mmo experience.
The key to war is that you don't HAVE to do ANY quests at all to level up. You can rvr your way all the way to 40 if you want. But if anyone is thinking of giving it a go, at least get yourselves to level 20 and join in on some REAL rvr before throwing in the towel.

I did try this (was so excited, bought the Collectors Edition and everything), and yeah the gaming was pretty awesome, and now they've fixed all the major bugs and updated it all i'm sure it's much better.............but like DJ said, there was no feel of a community which is what I enjoy and expect from a MMORPG game
Got a Witch Elf to around level 10, even switched servers to a more populated one when that was done, but I then kinda gave up..........just felt like I was playing a normal solo RPG seeing as I didn't really know anyone else who'd bought the game (except for Tanicia), so I couldn't really find a guild or anything where I could settle down and appreciate the game for what it was......after spending the money I did it was a great disappointment.......even the Public quests felt very lonely despite the amount of people that were running around doing them
I did try doing some of the Sieges and everything.....but having to wait around for nearly an hour to join one, and then get pulled into it when I was in the middle of something else was pretty annoying, or then like DJ said about the PQ stuff and having to requeue again. Then again the people I got grouped with didn't communicate much and it always seemed to turn into a disaster, as there would be a few in the group who knew what they were doing and a few others (including myself) who didn't, but there was no explanations or any form of directions etc coming from anyone, even when I asked how it went, did anyone have a plan of action etc...............just dead silence almost
May go back one day, see if I can get into the RvR a bit more and find a good bunch of players to show me the ropes.........but doubt it'll be anytime soon..........but Lil, if you do see this let me know the server and a name and if I come back I may drop you a message, if that's OK with you ofc
(and wow......300 posts in nearly 5 months ......looks like I spend more time here than I do on my work lol! )

As for the community aspect that has changed drastically - they've added region channels now where you can communicate with players in your own tier and region, making it more easy to chat.
Guilds are much easier to find as they now have a guild search function, where you can search a list of actively recruiting guilds, see what type of guild they are and then contact the recruiters.
As for sieging I still dont think people get it. The sieging isn't the thing that you press a button and queue for. It's completely different. In each pairing (zone) there is an rvr lake if you look on your map. In tier 1 it comprises of Battle Objectives, in tier 2 there are keeps AND battle objectives. Look in your open party tabs and more often than not you'll find an open rvr warband roaming around capping BOs, taking keeps or generally skirmishing with the opposing realm on the battle field.
Scenarios are completely different, you get about 2 groups of 6 people to do a set instance (thats the one you queue for) and to be honest they're not that great. If you really want to experience the REAL rvr get yourself into an rvr lake. Generally the most active one is in Nordland (for Tier1), Ostalnd/Troll Country (for tier2) and so on.
I've been playing war through all of the changes. And yes its been a rough time, but it is much improved. The most populated servers to go on now are:
Karak-Norn Karak-Azgal Karak Eight Peaks for english speaking servers. They have the majority of the player base.
Personally I've played on all three. On Norn I have level 40 Magus, on Eight Peaks, a level 30 Sorceress and Im currently levelling a Shadow Warrior on Azgal. For all of those characters I've done no PVE - I've levelled them all by jumping into open warbands and joining in on the rvr lake fights and believe me sometimes it can be epic. I remember on my magus spending about 2 hours sieging a keep against 2 warbands (thats 48 players) of order. It was a lot of fun and truly shows what war is all about.
Like I said before however, it's not everyone's cup of tea, it takes a bit to get used to it and find out which character suits you and sometimes you can be on the loosing side and sometimes not. If you like that kind of challenge then give it a try. The problem is most people give up after about level 10 or 11 and miss some of the best part of the content, without even exploring their class and it's abilities.
Yep I'm defending it because it is a great rvr game, in the same way that lotro is a great pve game, personally I flick between the two to satiate both moods.

There's always the 10 day free trial now It won't let you get to tier 2 but it gives you time to experience the new features and mess about with some friendly low level rvr and get a feel for the game again. To be honest I think it's a matter of playing what feels right to you. War is so much more different that it can seem a tad scary venturing into an mmo concept that you're not used to, but if you can get past that it's generally a good game with a lot of friendly people, but I can understand why people leave the game. It's all about taste and whether you're a sore looser or not hehe. If you do have a try then good luck and I hope you enjoy it

wel i do not totaly agree tbh a lot of high lvl players left war all because it hold no content its all rvr based and it lacks the MMO experience that a MMO should have maybe it has been improved but still not developed into a MMO that it supposed to be RVR is fun and that whole war sieging thing and all but come on 24/7 .... wel i dont know ive got a char up to 15 or higher i think and just left the game , as the game and our guild was a big disappointment to me
but i have some friends that play it and have played it ( all high lvl charecters) and they all are very disapointed....with the whole game in general , they say its more for a somewhat younger community that like fighting RVR the whole time.. wel i dont like that 1 bit i bet its not like that on all the servers but im just not waiting for little kids on puberty making a hissy fit if they get their ass kick or being annoying in the game
i have talked about war to a good friend of mine and he wants to try to build up a guild for Dark Templars again.....he says he CAN make the time and EFFORT in making a nice guild i said il think about it and il maybe go ahead with the stupid plan and help him build up and in the end turn leadership to him and make him our warleader in DT
tbh im not sure ...but im willing to give it a other shot i think if its still crap ( what most players do say it is...) il f**k**g sell this game
dont get me wrong i am a big warhammer fan i got loads of books and have a war painted army for a long time now before the game was here i just think they let a lot of people down in making a game like this it could be so much better.....
and Becca pls w8 a bit if we do get this guild of the floor come and join our server where Dark Templars will be playing think if we can get some people picking it up again at least we are amongst friends when we venture into the game again ( i dont wanna be alone again!!)
