Thinking of leaving...

yess im thinking of leaving this forum and website

and start a new webhost and make a nicer Dark Templars website&forum

a new website at least because the one we are using is just for show its not updated and used a lot....
the news on it is old ...and the tutorials that are on it also ...im the only one that makes Tuts and im kinda lazy and dont have much time at all.

Any one know a good website host ? or clan site host ?
im willing to pay for it as long as the offer and service is good

and i need help in some ways because im a idiot with HTML..... i just suck at it

if i do get a new webhost and we start over there the only down side is we lose this wonderful forum...
wel its a sacrifice to be made if we wanna expand
because we now playing
Lotro,Left4dead
and soon Diablo3,stargate and many more are coming out
i think its better to have a nice website with nice clear view of what we represent and do
because its gonna be hard and messy to get it fit all on this forum

Hmmmm, well i'm behind you all the way with this one if you think it's needed ^_^ Will admit, the website could do with a bit of a good update lol And if we are going to expand outside of Lotro and L4D then a new and more comprehensive site might be a good idea ^_^ (Stargate ftw!!)

If I was more computer literate then i'd gladly help with the whole thing, but me + computer related writing nonsense (HTML) = very confused Becca People have tried to teach me and failed on numerous occasions sadly

I do like the look of the PHP one; kinda snazzy. Sadly I can't make heads nor tails of the .nl sites you posted below, but if it's easier for you to sort out and set up then I trust your judgement

And yeah, it would be a wrench loosing the forum, but it could be a nice fresh start seeing as the kin has changed a great deal in the past few months, and I suppose if you really wanted to then you could drag/copy a few of the threads that are on here

There are many, many hosts out there. Look for one which provides cheap domain name (www.darktemplars.com) registration, and provides a proper 'control panel' to allow u to install software easily - for example, it should allow 'one click' installation of things like php-fusion and Nuke.

The problem with this type of hosting is that you will need to install and configure different parts of the site yourself - clan solutions at least provie an integrated package.
