Old Republic MMORPG announced

Not sure if there any star wars fans here but a new MMO has just been announced, Old Republic.

Set a few thousand years before the original classics, this game should give out a whole new story and not be tied down to the movies, and the good news is Bioware are the ones developing this title.

I have been hoping for this sort of game for years now since SWG was nerfed by Sony, at least with Bioware making the game you know it should be good. They created the Knight of the Old Republic games, which are fantastic, great RPG games. If you have not played them I advise you give em a try.

Be a while before this game is out, possibly end of next year if not 2010, with the only reservation I have is the graphics. they look cartoonish, like WOW, which I hope is not the case. The only problem with the game could be they are marketing it towards kids.
On the plus side, the game is meant to be story driven, so it is not exactly open ended, how this equates to the playing experience, guess we will hav to wait and see.

I hope this is gonna be good and this does not mean there is not gonna be a kotor 3

but too bad the story will be 300years after the kotor story, but i so wanted to see the mandalorian war or it would have been cool to join Revan's army.
Well anyway i hope it will bring the kotor feeling.

Indeed me and Takky have been interested in this for a while since the rumour started about it being released. Hopefully it wont be a major flop like a lot of MMOs these days. MMO's need to break away from the whole "We have to be better than WoW" cliche and be original and stop competing.
