here a link to the steam group steamcommunity.com/groups/L4D2boycotthere vavles so called promise to us a year ago what did we get? lighthouse and survivor mode ... www.videogamer.com/news/valve_details_post_left_4_dead_launch_plans.htmltbh people come on now left4dead been out a year and now they make a sequel ...why not a expansion or a update for the current left4dead owners bring out that second part of the game as a standalone what do u get the community is going to be torn apart and the left4dead community will be decreased online .... i dont want that to happen as is it a outstanding game its very tactical fun game to play and perfect for official matches (thats already taking place ) so i do hope they change their mind on this and make it at least as a expansion for the current game

Although harsh, I'm with them on the boycot. They promised weapons, characters and new maps on the original L4D through updates, doing it like this makes them liers in my opinion. Only becuse they made one good game, and they see another game that has something they dont, they get exited and goes for a totaly new setup. And to tell the truth, yes its sad thats its not any melee weapons but honestly i dont really need them as i see it now.

Since then, Valve have confirmed that there will indeed be L4D DLC released after Left4Dead 2 arrives. As for the actual footage of the game shown at E3, you can watch the trailer here. Left4Dead 2 arrives on November 17, 2009.
