I abandoned the Kin in the middle of the rift last night as my temper got the better of me.
I make no apologies although I am ashamed to have left, I should have dealt with my anger and carried on regardless.
It is only a game, I do know that, and I rarely lose my rag, but recently I have been, and it is a problem I will work on. It is nobody's fault but mine, I let myself get worked up.
Can I ask something of the Kin please, and this is a friendly request, as we are all friends here, and we all want to win the rift rewards and get the titles and just have an easier time having fun.
Can we all make sure we go to the rift with the full gear...
Brilliant or Glorious Edhelharn Tokens (Hope) x 2 (at least)
Food - two foods, one for a stat buff (for agility, might, will etc, whatever is best for your class as you think) and another food to provide morale and power every 300 seconds for 5 minutes which will help in a tight spot.
Wound Pots - Pure Healing Draught (wound), Pure Flask of Conhuith (fear), Pure Flask of Lhinestad (disease), Pure Milkthistle Draught (Poison).
Not sure which wound effects you get in the rift, I am sometimes to focused on the fight that I forget to glance at any wound effects I pick up (a big no no for me which I need to improve on) but even if you do not use them all, they are handy for other parts of the game. I take 20 of each, but I think 10 will suffice.
If you do forget to get some of this stuff, then do not worry, the kin will still help, but if you fail to bring all the needed kit, consistently, we will have to opt for someone else to go instead as sometimes people do miss out. If you mark upon the forum when Demonjay asks about the rift that you are going, we can compile a list of the people and classes we need and that should give you confirmation and ample time to collect the gear.
There are a few people who consistently take these items, and will happily share them out, but I think to many go without all these items. I myself have needed them, only because I could not afford them. We are all level 50 now and I think we should all farm for the money. Just go out, collect some hide, some ore, wood, sell the stuff on AH, just spend a 3 - 6 hours on a night in the week to do this and you will have the money for Friday and Sunday to help pay for the Rift. To cover repair bills and the cost of these items.
If you get ancient silver ore and beryls there are people in the kin that can make the hope for you. I am trying to level up a char to make hope and food and when I am at the right level I will happily make the stuff for you if required, if you get me the ingredients. If there are any Cooks or Jewellry crafters in the kin can you reply if you are able and willing to help with what is required for such stuff, thanks.
Can I also ask, and I hope people back me up on this, that if you know you are going to be having something to eat, perhaps you are running late, or you have company, anything that may prevent you from focusing for an hour or two on the rift, then please do not go. There are others that want to go that sometimes miss out. It is not fair on them or anyone else playing if you cannot give 100% focus.
It is just a game, but the kin gets so far so easily and always have trouble with the balrog. As a way of appreciation to the few that give so much that want to take down this rog (as they have tried since it was first introduced to the game) I would just ask we treat the balrog fight as a focused, team led event.
It would be nice to get all on Teamspeak so we can all talk and communicate which is vital in the rift, LOTRO chat is not very good.
If at any time you do not know what is going on just say.
And be aware that the rog fight will be explained by demonjay.
He will give out a list of people to pop hope,
He will give out a list of names for those to go to the right and left switch rooms.
He will say who pulls the final levers/switches,
and he will give instruction on the balrog fight, please listen, even if it means lowering the in-game sound so you can hear what he says
Thanks
