We had a look at the new watcher last week, and he definitely seems easier ;D

So, this week we'll give him a real good go. We'll start at 6pm UK time so we can get a good few runs in, and we'll use the chain hope that Kem has.

Please come prepared.

I fully support Finn. I'm also getting tired of wasting 40 minutes.

The start time was discussed after the last watcher run simply because it took circa 40 minutes for people to get their acts together. As usual, people signed up and did not bother preparing for the run. I know the start time is up for 6pm (BST)* and can be flexible but if people are going to start pissing around needing pots/food or other items not in their bags, then earlier start times suit to ensure that we get maximum attempts at the Watcher or which ever raid we are doing.

The 8pm (BST) start time we currently have for most raids, particularly the longer ones like the Watcher don't suit most folk, remember on the Continent you're 1 hour ahead of the UK and if you have work the morning after and a 2 hour run takes you to 11pm your time, 10 pm in the UK. Oh wait you've noticed that I said 8pm start, with all the lack of preparation thats how long it actually takes to start, including the talk through at the start so one hour to prepare for something you knew you were doing a week in advance is quite frankly pathetic. If I ever come ill prepared (unless I am swopping chars to suit the groups needs) then please feel free to remind me of this post.

Another thing that I mentioned last night, if you know your going to the Watcher/Turtle/Rift/ND or any other planned kin run, DO NOT waste our time by joining felloships/groups to do other long runs that hold the group up. You sign up, you should have the decency to be on time. By way of clarification, a GS HM run takes 30 minutes, if the Kin run starts at 19:00, don't agree to join a group at 18:30.

I have not mentioned names in this post, so please do not take this post as a personal attack. I got that pissed waiting, I was for forsaking all future kin events, even if it would be me being disadvantaged on the simple principal of if I have the courtesy to be on time, I am not going to waste my time waiting.

Can I recomend for now, that if the invites start at 19:00 or 18:00, the run/explanations start within 15 minutes as that should give people more than adequate time to get ready or to a summoning horn.

This is still possibly too early for me Best put me as a reserve Kris; no point in me holding a space that I possibly cannot fill when someone else may be able to.

Completely support Finn on his point; there have been several runs where we've had to wait for people to either prep themselves or finally log on, holding the runs up for half an hour or more. One night it was almost an hour before we could finally start, and I had to leave due to a last minute RL issue which i'd made people aware of when I'd joined on time, so that then put the start of the run back a further 15 minutes!

Would appreciate it if people had the foresight to prepare during the week before (even the night before!) with food, hope tokens, scrolls, pots etc if they think they may not have time on the day before the run; hell, if you need any of these then drop me an order via a PM on the forum, or a mail/tell in-game, and I can make the stuff for you. And if you think you might be late for the run, or possibly not even be able to make it at all, then a quick post on the forum (or even a message in the Shoutbox) beforehand can help the Events Officers plan round that and hopefully get the run going on time for everyone else.

darn fear and demon as capts... well if there is a spot im in. (watcher 1,0 was done once by us and 3 capts in the group)

i totaly agree with finn and would just give everyone a tip, try to all time have a few power/morale/hope pots, scrools food and other things u might need. just have 1 stack of each on all your chars who have the ability to join the heavy raids.
